Italian composer of mostly chamber works that have been performed in Europe and elsewhere; he is also active as a flutist.
Mr. Galante studied composition and flute at the Conservatorio Giovanni Battista Martini in Bologna, where he earned a diploma in flute in 1979. He also studied at the Università degli Studi in Bologna, where he earned a degree in philosophy, and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, where he earned a diploma in 1982.
His music has been performed in France, Italy, Japan, and the USA.
As a flutist, he has performed contemporary music in Austria, Italy and the USA.
His primary publishers are Casa Sonzogno and Falls House Press.
