German composer of mostly chamber, piano, electroacoustic, and multimedia works that have been performed throughout Europe.
Mr. Koepf initially studied patternmaking, but studied piano with Günter Louegk in Stuttgart from 1982–84. He then studied composition and piano at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne from 1984–93.
Among his honours are the Bernd-Alois-Zimmermann-Stipendium from the city of Cologne (1994) and a research grant from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (1995–97).
He has taught music theory at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne since 2000.
In addition to the works listed below, he has created computer software, films, music machines, print editions, and theoretical texts.
His publisher is Koepf's Editions.
