THE LIVING COMPOSERS PROJECT  

Donika Rudi

(b. 7 June 1982, Prishtina).

Kosovar composer of mostly chamber and electroacoustic works that have been performed in Europe.

Ms. Rudi is the daughter of the composer Rafet Rudi. She studied composition with Mendi Mengjiqi at the Universiteti i Prishtinës in Prishtina from 2000–02. She then studied composition with Nicolas Bolens, Éric Gaudibert and Michael Jarrell and electroacoustic music with Rainer Boesch, Émile Ellberger and Luis Naón at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève from 2002–06. She later studied acousmatic music and composition with Annette Vande Gorne at the Conservatoire Royal de Musique de Mons from 2009–12, where she earned her master's degree.

Her music has been performed in Albania, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Kosovo, and Switzerland.

She is also active in other positions. She has served as director of the Electronic Music Center – Noise in Prishtina since 2008 and as artistic director of the festival for contemporary music ReMusica in Prishtina since 2010.
