Edward Sadoyan

(b. 1938, Yerevan).

Armenian composer of stage, orchestral, chamber, choral, vocal, and piano works that have been performed in Asia, Europe and the USA.

Mr. Sadoyan studied composition with Alexander Arutiunian at the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan, where he graduated in 1976, and also studied composition with Aram Khachaturian at the P. I. Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow from 1968–71.

His music has been performed in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Norway, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, and the USA.
