THE LIVING COMPOSERS PROJECT  

Bart Spaan

(b. 1963, Roermond).

Dutch composer of mostly chamber, piano and electroacoustic works that have been performed in Europe.

Mr. Spaan studied history and musicology in Nijmegen, then Amsterdam. He studied composition with Daan Manneke from 1997–2003.

He is also active in other positions. He played piano and synthesizer in the progressive-rock group Bazooka in the Netherlands in the early 1980s and collaborated with the rock band Gore in 1992. He has worked closely with the painter Alberto Reguera since 1987. In addition, he has arranged programmes for the broadcaster De Concertzender.
