THE LIVING COMPOSERS PROJECT  

Amir Teymuri

(b. 17 June 1984, Kermanshah).

Iranian composer, now resident in Germany, of chamber and piano works that have been performed in Asia and Europe.

Mr. Teymuri studied music at the School of Music and Dramatic Arts of Tehran University from 2004–10. He studied composition with Cornelius Schwehr at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg in Freiburg im Breisgau from 2010–14. He has studied composition with Orm Finnendahl at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main since 2016.

Among his honours is the Berlin-Stipendium from the Akademie der Künste in Berlin (2015). His music has been performed in Germany and Iran.

He has lived in Germany since 2010.
