Zamani, Adil (b. May 5, 1960, Almaty). Kazak-born Turkish composer of chamber works that have been performed in Europe; he is also active as a doctor and guitarist.
Dr. Zamani began piano studies in Almaty at age seven and later, after his family settled in Turkey, he studied guitar privately with many teachers, but is primarily self-taught as both a composer and guitarist. He graduated from the Moscow Medical Institute in 1986.
As a guitarist, he has performed his own works and works of other composers throughout Europe.
He was a senior guitar instructor at the Kemal Eroglu School of Music in Ankara from 1987-92 and has been a professor of pulmonary medicine at Selçuk University in Konya since 2002.
